She was as adept on the battlefield as any horseman. After the Genpei war, she disappeared into the annals of time. No one knows where she came from. No one knows where she went. Yet after nine centuries, the legend is still sung. Inspired by Tomoe Gozen of the Heike, this could be the story of any of the many women warriors, not uncommon in feudal Japan. Onna Bugeisha follows the journey of a young girl, as she grows into a brilliant warrior… and beyond. After a devastating attack on her village, she makes a transformational journey into womanhood, with the assistance of Master Sohei, a warrior monk. On the path to enlightenment, she learns the art of warfare, and becomes a master of the sword and of horsemanship. She also masters the heart of an honorable warrior, whom she comes to fight side-by-side with on the battlefield. Onna is a story born of the past and resonating now and into the foreseeable future. Set in feudal Japan, this film will draw from the beauty of the time.

Moll Dyer’s Run


~ She’s been dead for 300 years, but the curse lives on


In the late 1600’s MOLL DYER arrived on the shore of Southern Maryland and settled into a reclusive life in the woods. Suspected of being a witch, and hounded for many of the problems that beset the community, she was driven from her home one cold night in 1697. The house was burned, and Moll was found frozen to death in the woods three days later. She spoke a curse on the land, as she froze to death.

It is now present day, and Jules, Chad, and Spats are on a dig in St. Mary’s City, where the foundation of the legendary witch’s home has been located. Initially unaware of its provenance, the team begins to experience strange phenomena. The first comes in the form of a white dog that keeps stealing artifacts.

And then, the visits begin. Moll is making nightly appearances to various members of the team and seems to be trying to send some kind of message. She is also accompanied by a white dog, but it is obviously a ghost, which is creeping out Chad even more, since he has the daily interaction with the real time white dog – an identical twin. When Moll seems to take a particular interest in a younger student on the dig, the activity intensifies.

The modern day story flashes back and forth with Moll’s last weeks, revealing connection points to the items found in the camp and to Moll’s eerie visits.

Will Moll be the only one found dead by the rock in the morning?
